The Stroke Association NI now has supporters packs for anyone wishing to walk or run the Belfast City Marathon 2010 in aid of The Stroke Association NI.

Take a bite of the big apple for stroke!
The Stroke Association Northern Ireland is calling on all those aspiring sprinters and walkers to consider donning their running shoes and help support the thousands of stroke survivors across Northern Ireland by taking on the ING New York City Marathon in November.
The ING New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday 7th November 2010.
Together with Sports Travel International we have a fantastic running package which includes 5 nights accommodation, airport transfers, race entry and direct flights from Belfast International Airport!

Cherry Blossom Gala Ball
The Stroke Association Northern Ireland is delighted to announce that their annual Gala Ball will be held on Saturday 13th February 2010 in the Europa Hotel, Belfast. This year’s ‘Cherry Blossom Ball’ will be compared by Northern Ireland local Christine Bleakely and her co-host from the BBC One Show Adrian Chiles. The evening will take on an oriental theme and promises to be a fabulous night of fine food, fine wine, outstanding entertainment and an auction for money can’t buy items! This will be the fifth year that this spectacular event has run and will aim to raise vital funds for stroke survivors, their carers and families across Northern Ireland.
Tickets are now on sale at a cost of £75. There are sponsorship opportunities also available from £2500 + VAT.
Support Anna in her Everest Challenge!
Stroke survivor Anna Corr is planning a trip of a lifetime...to climb to Everest Base Camp in 2010. Anna, who is a member of The Stroke Association NI Newtownabbey Conversation Group is undertaking this challenge with 13 of her friends and family to help raise money for The Stroke Association NI and the cardio unit of Belfast City Hospital. Anna had her stroke in July 2002 at the age of just 32. Since then, Anna has gone from strength to strength. Anna is now an active advocate for The Stroke Association NI and is a keen fundraiser, having just completed the Belfast Marathon.
